My heart became hot within me. As I mused, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: "O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!"

Happy Independence Day

A day late, but hopefully not a dollar short, here's a great version of our national anthem.
May God see fit to bring this independent nation into her rightful dependence on King Jesus.

May God's people see fit to respond to His calling to remember His works in our country's history.

What else can God’s people do to be God’s instruments “to bring this independent nation into her rightful dependence on King Jesus?”

James Jordan gives us a clear calling with practical application in this two part article, “Who Rules the Land? The Meaning of the Noahic Covenant, Part 1, Part 2." We may not agree on some of the details, but I think you’ll be inspired by the vision it presents to Christians who want to live each hour of their day for the glory of God.

And what does John Calvin have to say about how God works in history through His Church? You might want to read this fascinating essay by Gary North that could really help sort out your eschatology and see how it truly affects your everyday life.
