It's humorous that the word itself is long and has many syllables, as if it would be inconsistent to give that definition to say, the word "log".
I'll have to practice saying the word a few times before I could use it in front of someone else, haha.

I read this post Friday afternoon and took up the challenge to try and use the word appropriately. ( our family is always looking to find new words to use to expand our vocab and make a game out of it occassionally. I was talking with my oldest daughter(12) and told her about a new word I had seen on a blog. I told her that she was a sesquipedalian writer in her character profiles of a story that she is writing( she loves to write and is a big fan of Tolkien and C.S.Lewis. Of course she asked for the dictionary to see what it meant and then laughed agreeing. You don't know me but I met your wife at the womens retreat in October. The only public praise due is to our Heavenly Father who created us and gave us the capacity to develop learn and use languages.Thanks for the challenge!
Moses had a sign to give the Egyptians. He made his rod into a snake and it ate the two other snakes. He also had leporacy on his hand and when he put it back in his cloak it disappered. Well His sister did some great "feets" as well. She too had leporacy. For a time it was a punishment for speaking against the annointed one. Now it is a sign for today that the church is no longer going to be oppressed by weapons.
Jared - Luke's teacher has her students pick vocab words for everyone to learn. Luke's choice was hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia which means a fear of really long words. Funny, she hasn't asked him to pick another word since then......
