My heart became hot within me. As I mused, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: "O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!"

At this moment, I am giving a Hebrew exam to seven wonderful students in my office. We're about 15 minutes into the exam, at which point I say, "2 more minutes!" and they all look up in horror. Good fun was had by all. Or at least me.

Hey, I am planning on learning Hebrew. Would you suggest getting a software program on my computer/a teaching CD or DVD/ or actually taking a college course?

Hi Tamara - It would depend, I think, on what's available to you. If there is a good teacher nearby, that's always preferable to teaching yourself (especially in the area of a language). But with the internet these days...you could probably find a good teacher online, or really good books. I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I did recently hear that Covenant Seminary was beginning to put most of their classes online for free (though it might just be "core" classes rather than including language). I can check for you if you'd like.
