If you're wondering why those pesky reformed folk keep picking on a nice guy like Joel Osteen, read on. Osteen is the pastor of the 30,000 member church in Houston, making the news by buying an old stadium and camping out at the top of bestseller lists with this self-help manual.
My heart became hot within me. As I mused, the fire burned; then I spoke with my tongue: "O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!"

Some of my friends had a long discussion about him. One said he was a very good teacher while the other said he needs to preach more meaty sermons. I took the middle ground like always. I think Joel has done some good, but he is a little too watered down for me. He is more of a salesman then a preacher. Well, I shouldn't slander him because I am not much of a preacher myself. I just thought it was interesting that you mentioned him. He sure is getting attention for his actions.
