![]() | You scored as Anselm. Anselm is the outstanding theologian of the medieval period. He sees man's primary problem as having failed to render unto God what we owe him, so God becomes man in Christ and gives God what he is due. You should read 'Cur Deus Homo?'
Which theologian are you? created with QuizFarm.com |
Karl Olivetti?
ReplyDeleteYou scored as Martin Luther. 100%
ReplyDeleteThe daddy of the Reformation. You are opposed to any Catholic ideas of works-salvation and see the scriptures as being primarily authoritative.

I did it again and scored a 100% as Anselm. But what in the world is Barth doing second on my list?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the list is defective. I hope presbytery doesn't see this.
Yeah, Barth was also on my list at 100%. I don't even know who that is :).

I think whoever made up the quiz is relying very heavily on the "ground of being" language to determine who is a Barthian. I scored pretty low on Edwards because I didn't place eschatology on top of my priorities and lost some classical reformed points for not Identifying the Pope as the devil.
ReplyDeleteOverall, despite landing Anselm at every turn, I'm choosing to remain undisturbed:)

ReplyDeleteJared, I got Calvin 93%. I thought that was entertaining.
ReplyDeleteMy top was Anselm at 87%, followed by Luther with 80%, then Calvin.
ReplyDeleteAnslem was high for me too.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not Paul Olivetti... there is hope for the quiz's accuracy. :)
I had to take it again so it would fit my blog. That time I got Calvin 100%. I am curious what that means because the paragraph above says this doesn't actually have to mean I follow TULIP strictly. I will have to read more of Calvin so I will be 110%.
ReplyDeleteI was (1) Barth (2) Anselm. Also 0% Augustine hmm...
ReplyDeleteAnselm 100%, Martin Luther 80% then John Calvin. Me an Anselm go way back to the days when I asked "Who the HECK is Anselm and why is he me?" -Justin
ReplyDeleteKarl Barth, 87%, John Calvin, 67%, Anselm, 33% I'm happy to be more Calvinistic than you. :) See you tomorrow or Friday!
ReplyDelete(J/K) I've noticed that these quizzes are usually way off.
I was also 100% Anselm with Finney finishing third and Calvin fourth. At least Luther was second. More concerning though is that Barth and Scleiemacchheerr (sp?) were both ahead of Augustine and Edwards. Maybe I should be spending less time on the internet.

I think the bigger question is, "Which Thundercat are you?" I'm quite sure I would be Snarf.
ReplyDeleteBecause you've taken so long to update your blog, I finally took the quiz and I came up 93% Barth, but 87% Anselm. Calvin was a distant third at 67%. Should I be concerned? Maybe I need to pay more attention to Dr. Blackwood and Pastor Johnston.
