The mistake problems stems from hearing "myth" connected with "neutrality" in other articles. That myth goes like this: It is vital to take a “neutral stance, a non-committal attitude”* toward, well, anything really important...* From Always Ready, Greg Bahnsen, 3. I must say I dislike the use of the word “myth” in this way, because it implies that every myth is false.

Jared, my copy of Always Ready by Greg Bahnsen never refers to the "myth" of neutrality. Did Bahnsen call neutrality a "myth" in some other publication or presentation that you heard?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12001852.post-1126983136650944812005-09-17T13:52:00.000-05:002005-09-17T13:52:00.000-05:00I had a World Culture's class in college. I hadn’t been exposed to it before. Of course non-Christians in my world cultures class could validate every truth except the Christian belief. “Tolerate everything except what you deem unworthy.” (This new tolerance is very hypocritical on that front.) The world's philosophies really are foolish and break down quickly. I showed how foolish it was by this example. Person one believes that you must accept Jesus to enter heaven. If you don't you go to hell. Person two believes everyone goes to heaven no matter what. In this new tolerance all believed truths are equal and valid. So does that mean we send person two to hell and heaven so both beliefs can be validated? Man, new tolerance may seem polite, but bluntly it is rather stupid.Tamarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00901668354272963305noreply@blogger.com
